About Angie

Hello! I’m Angie. I’m a counselor and an art therapist. I am a strong believer in the power of engaging your body and your mind in your healing journey. I show up fully as myself: a person who also has my own struggles. I offer an exploration through life's challenges through the lenses of queerness, neurodivergence, abolition and decolonization. I integrate art therapy, somatic therapy, and EMDR as well as approaches from Internal Family Systems and other body- based modalities that support the untangling of generational, systemic, and environmental trauma.

I strongly believe that we cannot talk our way through trauma work and need spaces where we can be with our bodies and with each other in order to more fully begin to heal. I create space for anyone who is seeking to address the wounded parts of themselves beyond traditional talk therapy approaches. I am constantly amazed at our body's ability to adapt and support us. I prioritize listening to your body's needs and what it is communicating throughout the healing process. I specialize in working with folks who identify as queer, trans, nonbinary, or neurodivergent and people whose bodies have been forced to hold layers of complex trauma.

I consider it one of my greatest privileges to sit with and walk with people as they explore what personal and collective healing looks like. My aim is always to make therapy a comfortable, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space for you where we can explore all of this together.
